Passport Health Chinook - Calgary Travel Clinic
1) Prices are much higher than other travel clinics - consultation fees + vaccine prices are higher. You would expect a more premium service for higher price but read on....2) They don't submit vaccine records to Alberta Health, so your medical record on netcare is not up to date. They do not have access to your vaccine record either through Netcare. We had to supply that ourselves3) When you call, the phone call goes to a call center, not the actual clinic. The call center is in the US somewhere. The actual clinic is a very light operation with a freelancing nurse.4) Receipts they give you do not meet the standards of certain insurance companies. Upon calling Passport health, they weren't able to provide the information insurance companies require. So you end up paying for everything out of pocket. Call center does not have access to medical records so you are out of luck.

My parents did their test before the flight, at first I was very suspicious about the price and I'm so happy that we did it there. Not only it was cheaper that the other laboratory, the service was excellent. The staff is very professional and quick. The results came as promised the same day. It was accepted in the airport no trouble. I highly recommend them.

Pros: Friendly, efficient, and knowledgable staff that listened to me, answered all my questions and did not try to sell me vaccines or supplies i didnt need. I had a very positive experience and will definetely come back.Cons: pay parking on site and the clinic's travel consult hours are very limited so it could be difficult to get an appointment right away if you work full time, but this is a small inconvenience for the great service offered.
